DOH confirms 92 more COVID-related deaths in PH
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed on Tuesday 92 more coronavirus-related deaths in the country, bringing the number of fatalities due to COVID-19 complications to 49,591. The country has so far confirmed a total of 2,835,345 cases of COVID-19. With this figure, the case fatality rate, or the percentage of people who died out of all cases, is currently at 1.75 percent.Meanwhile, 2.77 million patients have recovered, taking the percentage of patients who survived the disease to 97.8 percent. The DOH has so far reported a total of 1,046 fatalities in its case bulletins for December, or an average of 149 deaths being recorded per day this month. However, the DOH earlier explained that these deaths also cover those from previous months. The health department reported 167 deaths on December 1; 40 on December 2; 235 on December 3; 243 on December 4; 156 on December 5; and 133 on December 6.
